Reflections about my Aunt Pat What truly defines an artist? Is it how good she draws? Is it how she interacts with others? Is it her joy for the artistic expression? What is it that truly defines an Artist? For my Aunt Pat, it's that she always tried to show the Imagination and affection she had in her heart. She truly loved expressing her talent in a variety of artistic statements, from painting to sculpture to teaching others the fine points of her craft. We will always remember not only her artistic talent but also her joy for the love of family and friends. My first memories of Pat come from our family’s first trip to California. I think it was 1952 and we followed famed route 66 from New York to Fullerton. Pat saw to it that we experienced all the fun and joy of Southern California including a side trip to Mexico.
